This campout is for the older scouts (Bears and Webelos). There is a special trip for all ages (Tigers and beyond) called "Roars and Snores". ALL PARENTS MUST COMPLETE THE "BSA Youth Protection Training" (YPT) if you want to attend this campout! NO EXCEPTIONS. More information regarding this training can be found in the "Pack Training Compliance" to the left. Arrival and Departure Information Check-in begins at 5:00 p.m. Program starts at 6:00 p.m. (SHARP) Departure: Next day at 8:45 a.m. At this time you may depart Space Center Houston or take the tram tour to NASA and continue to visit Space Center Houston for the day. (included in the price) What will the Scouts do?The Bears will complete Space Arrow Points as they discover the planets in our Solar System, make a star wheel chart, build and launch a basic rocket, and learn about the constellations in the night sky in our brand new planetarium!!! The Webelos will complete the essential components of the Scientist Badge as they design a protective spacesuit for a shuttle astronaut, discover the effects of air pressure, and conduct activities involving Bernoulli's Principle and Pascal's law.
