CUBMASTER PACK MEETING UPDATE

I hope you are having a great summer!  Our pack meeting is from 10-2 pm this Saturday.  We are going to have it at the pavilion at Lake Pflugerville.  The park is on the North side of the lake and is accessed off of Weiss Lane.  The pavilion is first come first served.  Albert Lopez has volunteered to be our place holder and will be there by 8 am.  Feel free to come out early to help save more space for our pack.

Here's the preliminary agenda (all times are cub scout central approximate time):

10 - Flag ceremony
10:10 - fishing / free time / bocce ball?
10:40 - Leave no trace service project and lesson
11:15 - Water balloon toss
11:45 - LUNCH!  Hot dogs, buns, pickle relish, ketchup, and mustard will be provided.  We will also have a container of bug juice.
12:30 - Gutter sundaes- each den is bringing something to put on top of ice cream (no nuts, please!) and the pack is providing some delicious vanilla ice cream.
1:15 - Rain-gutter regatta races
2:00 - The end.

If you can, please bring some aluminum foil to help line the gutters.  Some plastic spoons would be most helpful, too.

The gutter sundae toppings den assignments are:

  • Den 1 - Sprinkles
  • Den 2 - Cherries
  • Den 4 - Oreos
  • Den 6 - Chocolate and caramel sauces
  • Den 7 - Whipped cream

Ingredients
1 hot dog
1 hot dog bun
ketchup, mustard, relish, other condiments!

Directions
Place dogs on a hot grill. Cook till crusty, bubbly, hot, or charred, according to your preference.  When the dogs are almost done, place open buns on grill for one minute. Remove dogs and buns, unite them in sandwich form, add condiments to your liking. Eat!
