NOTE: The BSA medical form has changed. Again. So do please fill out the new one. I recommend that you download it, and do a save-as. Then you can edit the doc. Save it. Now make a copy for each person you have in your family that needs to turn in a med form (reminder: you need to have one for all participating adults on file with your den leader). So long as it doesn't change, you can just print out the same form in a year, with updated immunization information. 

2014 Summer Cub Scout Camp Registration information: This year the Capital Area Council has a new registration process for Summer Camps on line at :
  • Start by selecting the camp you want to attend, you will automatically be taken to the registration system.
  • Create an account with your email (doubleknot registration system) then continue with your registration/check out process.
  • There are several forms to fill out (on-line) to complete the registration process. The options for payment are credit card ( Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) or E check.
Information you will need to know:
  • Council: Capital Area Council (Austin)
  • District: Blackland Prairie
  • Unit: 409
Once you have checked out you will receive a confirmation and receipt.

Tiger Cub Adventure Day – March 22 at Camp Tom Wooten, 8 am to 4:15 pm, Tigers and their adult partner, spend the day, fishing, exploring the mine, shooting BB’s, archery, blasting rockets, lunch and more.  For more information and to register go to:
Local Heroes – April 5 at Austin Public Safety Academy, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, this is a Family Fun Day jammed with more than your kids can do.  They’ll be able to work on Scouting stuff and meet with the heroes who keep you safe each day.  You need to register at:
Cub Partner – April 12 - 13, at Camp Tom Wooten, check in begins at 7 am, program starts at 8 am.  Program includes: BB shooting, Archery, Belt Loop and Pin, Wood Working Project, Flag Football Belt Loop and much more.  This is an overnight campout so bring your tent and gear.  For more information and to register go to:
Day Camps – Summer STEM Discovery – Explore how the world “works” and the science behind it, and work on the NOVA award.  There will be plenty of time to swim, shoot a bow and arrow, go fishing and much more!  Dates and times vary from camp to camp so go to: to get the latest details for your camp.

Cub Scout Summer Camp -  “Cubstruction” is a series of weekend overnight campouts at Camp Tom Wooten that will focus on Sustainability.  Check in on Friday evening and head home on Sunday by noon. Dates are:  June 13-15; June 20-22; June 27-29; July 4-6, 2014.  To register go to:
